Lucia Perluck has been making jewelry for over 15 years, beginning her journey as a high school senior. She pursued metalsmithing as an undergraduate at the Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia, and later moved to Brooklyn, NY where she launched Lucia Pearl in 2014. Lucia's vision for her jewelry line was to create designs that stood out from the mainstream—pieces that were bold and edgy, but suitable for everyday wear. Her goal was to craft jewelry that transcended age and gender, blending playfulness with sophistication. Among her original creations are the interchangeable bar rings and seamless two-part hoops, designs that hold secrets for the wearer and draw others in.
Lucia Pearl Jewelry has since been featured in publications such as Metal Magazine, UTP Magazine, Rollacoaster, Galore, and Vogue (more press can be found here.) Her pieces can be found at retailers such as Marché Rue Dix in Brooklyn, NY, and Cardón in Mexico City. Currently, the full collection is available exclusively on her website and at select pop-up markets along the East Coast.
In addition to her demi-fine jewelry line, Lucia also accepts commissions for custom fine jewelry and fine art fabrication, with a specialization in the unique technique of photo etching. Her studio & life are currently based in her hometown, Providence, Rhode Island. Beyond her artistic pursuits, Lucia is deeply involved in community building, social justice, and mental health advocacy, which informs her artwork as well as her practice as a clinical social worker.
